The house that contains the collection of the Silverton Country Historical Society and museum is an exhibit in and by itself. Built in 1908 on the south side of E. Main St. between First and Second Streets by Louis Ames, it was moved to its present site in 1975. The house has had three owners and is named the Ames/Warnock/Burch house in honor of those families.
The Gallon House Bridge, the last of Marion County’s original covered bridges, is located over Abiqua Creek a little more than a mile northwest of Silverton.

In addition to recognizing the First Citizen of Silverton, Distinguished Service Award and the Judy Schmidt Lifetime Achievement Award, and Business of the Year, we also pay tribute to the amazing educators and staff in the Silver Falls School District.
Each of our Oregon state parks is an individual place where people play, picnic, camp, rest, hike, renew, and everything in between. They are an everyday reminder of the things that make Oregon great, and their very existence is a testament to what we collectively value.
These murals give Silverton, a community of 7,400 about an hour’s drive south of Portland, 13 of the paintings, most of them on the outside walls of buildings. That’s not as many murals as some Northwest towns, but it’s getting to be enough to make travelers heading for Silver Falls State Park, or the Oregon Garden, put on the brakes and get to know the charming little town.

Vitis Ridge is a small boutique Oregon winery producing about 3,000 cases annually. Focusing on unique wines and specialty blends, Vitis Ridge offers more varieties of wine than most large production wineries. The tasting room is located next to the estate grown Pinot Gris & Marechal Foch vineyards. You won’t find anything fancy about this winery but instead you’ll find friendly faces & a relaxed atmosphere, where you’re welcome to bring a picnic lunch & enjoy a glass of wine on the back patio.
The Tasting Room is located at 6685 Meridian Rd NE, just 1.5 miles from downtown Silverton Oregon. The entire production, from grape to bottle, takes place at this location. Join Vistis Ridge for a unique tasting room experience amongst the barrels. The winery is animal friendly and can accommodate over-sized vehicles.
Silver Falls Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery located in the mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon. They provide high quality boutique wines, including Oregon’s famous and award winning Pinot Noirs.
The Vineyard consists of 18 acres of thirty five year old vines in the heart of its one hundred acre farm. The vineyard enjoys lounging on the hillside drinking in the sun and growing the sweetest best tasting wine grapes possible. The vines include Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Marechal Foch and Muscat. These varieties provide a great selection in the tasting room, which also include Rose, sparkling. Port and Dessert wines in addition to the varietals.
The tasting room is open Sat. through Sunday 12-5pm. The Vineyard is located within ten miles of:Silver Falls State Park, The Oregon Garden, and between historic Silverton and Sublimity.
This is a small family owned and operated business located in Oregon’s lush Willamette Valley. The family has been farming in this area for four generations and in the last few years King Fresh has diversified farming to include a CSA/produce business and packaged Hazelnuts
Wild Weeds Farm is a small sustainable farm providing the local community with fresh produce, herbs and mushrooms through a CSA and at the Silverton farmers market. Only natural growing practices are used without chemical or sprays.

Silverton’s famous son, Homer Davenport, was an internationally renowned cartoonist in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Homer, left Silverton, fulfilling his desire to become an editorial cartoonist… inspired by his mother’s appreciation for the art form.
You are invited to apply for acceptance to the 18th Annual Silverton Fine Arts Festival, to be held August 18 & 19, 2018 in Silverton, Oregon. Our goal for this festival is to celebrate the virtuoso talents of our finest local and regional artists, as well as to provide the public and our selected exhibitors with a show of the highest quality. The site, historic Coolidge-McClaine Park in the heart of Silverton, on the banks of Silver Creek, is a beautiful area surrounded by towering oak and Douglas-fir trees. It is a popular summer gathering place and a wonderful setting for the festival.
